This image was done for a contest held by the Romanian "XtremPC" computer magazine. I worked together with my friend Silviu Badea, and we got 2nd place, meh. The contest was about building a 3D scene as close as possible to a certain drawing of the genius M. C. Escher's. I kind of screwed up the perspective with a too big field of view.
We rendered the image on Silviu's Pentium 3 @450 MHz with 64 MB RAM.
The scene has 140.000 polygons which was huge for our computers at that time. For trueSpace too, as it was breaking the saved scene file all the time and we were swearing from A to Z and stuff beyond the dictionary definitions.
